She is the founder of Sustainable South Bronx, a non-profit organization aimed at combating both environmental and economic development issues. It was one of the nation's first urban, green-collar job training and placement programs in the country.

Among her many accomplishments, Majora has been featured in books such as 50 Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth, The Green Collar Economy, and Bill Clinton’s Giving. Known as “the Bronx Bombshell,” an “Angel of New York,” and credited with “single-handedly making the greening of the ghetto a sexy issue,” Majora is a force to be reckoned with!
