Pittsburgh City Council will hold a public hearing about the ban on Marcellus Shale drilling in the city -- an ordinance to protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents and neighborhoods of Pittsburgh by banning the commercial extraction of natural gas within the city and establishing a bill of rights for Pittsburgh residents.
6 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 5th floor of the City-County Building, 414 Grant St., Pittsburgh, PA 15219. A rally will be held outside the building beforehand, beginning at 5:30.
